This song is from German rockers 'Atlantis' ; Inga Rumpf ( vocals) Jean Jaques Kravetz ( keyboards), Frank Diez ( guitar), Karl Heinz Schott (Bass), Curt Cress (Drums) , from the self titled 1972 LP on Vertigo records , " Atlantis" .

Our version was recorded in 1991 in Houston with Dash Beardsley on Bass ( the "Ghostman of Galveston" : Ghost Tours), Dennis Watson on keyboards ( sadly, he passed from this life in 2010), and Bill Berger on drums ( Zen Archer ). From the (only) cassette mix , which was lost until only recently in 2009 . Atlantis is one of my favorite bands of all time .

addendum : I have to add that there is not , in my opinion , the slightest possibilty of the world coming to an end in 2012 . Challenges , yes ; the end , no .The song was written , I surmise , about man's ignorance and obliviousness to the effect of his own actions upon the earth and his own future survival .
